I. Legitimacy & documentation (Compliance)

CoC verification:Direct checks via flag administration registries.

Tanker / special endorsements:Alignment with vessel type and cargo carried.

3.

Seaman's book legitimacy:Service history and absence of adverse records.

4.

Visa status:Valid visas (Schengen, US, UAE) for timely crew changes.

5.

Medical fitness:Valid international medical certificate plus additional tests as required by the owner.

II. Professional skills

CES / Safebridge testing:Assessment of theoretical knowledge.

Marlins test:English proficiency (not below 80% for officers).

ME experience:Verification of work with specific engine brands and automation.

Composite materials:Knowledge of GRE/GRV piping specifics (relevant for MTS technical management).

Inspection experience:PSC, SIRE, CDI exposure (for senior officers).
